Building Our Ryan Homes Rome
Don't forget that the E has more square footage on the second floor! The loft bumps out by 2 ft, bedroom four bumps out by 1 ft. Your laundry room is different than mine...are you version 4 or did they come out with a version 5?
Amanda, my laundry room is in the same location. It's also a reversed model set up!
And I am noticing they created some space in the laundry room for something...can't read the print, it looks like for a water heater or something.
Hi there! Sorry its been a couple of days since I've been able to get on to the blog. The laundry room was supposed to have a sink but now doesn't come with that. In the model there isn't anything opposite of where the washer/dryer are so its open space that I am thinking of adding a built in shelf to fold clothes. We're also asking them to move the door to the center as opposed to off setting it as it is in the model. We are a reverse layout as well so I always have to do the mental flip when thinking of how things are laid out.
Hi Abby,I like the idea that they added the extra space for the laundry tub in the laundry room or the option to build shelves later. Our door is on the corner and I asked them to swing the door outwards. I wanted to have as much closed in space for a wrap around built in desk. My laundry room will be in the basement; however, it would have been nice to have that extra space. I could have built shelves too. :- ( I was told it is for the hvac running through the house.
There are 2 different laundry layouts in the current Rome, which one you get depends on your foundation. http://dreamrome.blogspot.com/2012/10/details-details-laundry-room-layout.html
