Everything looks good!
ReplyDeleteEven going by our house every day there were very few days that we didn't notice something new. Now we are at the clean up stage so there's no real point in going by the house... but it's tough to stay away! I'm so ready to move in! =)
Looks beautiful! I can't wait until we are at that stage!
ReplyDeleteYou have a gorgeous ROME!! I love how they gave you stone to grade and on the steps!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nadase! It was a very nice surprise the way that it turned out! Blueprints and rendered drawings didn't do it justice.
DeleteIt's funny how they do things...I guess because they're cookie-cutter homes, they just order the standard stuff and the installers install it, and then they figure out what was non-standard and swap it out. They didn't cancel the usual cabinet for our island, they just sent it along with the special one for the oven. So we'd go by to visit and wonder how they were going to fit all those cabinets in the kitchen! I'm hoping to take advantage of that, and ask if we can swap out the upper cabinet closest to the sink for a wider one...we got one so narrow it's absurd. A 15" wide one would still fit without getting in the way of the sink, but ours is maybe 7"? I can fit two mugs side-by-side and that's it.
ReplyDeleteThat is crazy! I didn't notice the 7in cabinet. I'll have to look for that the next time I'm at the house. How is everything going? Unpacked yet? =)
DeleteEverything's out of the boxes, does that count? :D We're getting there, hopefully this week I'll be able to get a lot done and then I'll have a chance to breathe and write a coherent post. Today was very productive.
DeleteJust found your blog! We're building a Palermo in southeast Virginia, but I am originally from the Chesterfield area. Just wanted to stop by and say hello. I love the way your stone looks and it makes me very happy that we decided to go with the Autumn Buckeye ourselves. Look forward to seeing the rest of your progress.
