The Flooring Options!

We finally got in to see Sunny the flooring rep for Ryan Homes (apparantly she is in high demand right now...wonder why LOL).  She made is so easy for us and kept us pretty close to budget (again- I can't help my taste!).

And the colors are:

Manchester 3 and 1/4 Gunstock Hardwood- Foyer, Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Morning Room
Level 1 Sahara Buff- Family Room, Study, stairs and upper level
Brixton Sand 12x12 with White Glaze and White FA51 Listello in Guest Bathroom with the Scottsdale maple
Brixton Sand 12x12 in Laundry Room
Stratford Place- Willow Branch 12x12 (Floor) and 10x14 (Wall) with SA54 Wisteria/Tortoise Blend Accent Listello in the Owners Bath.  Also added the PS Durango Bullnose 8" corner shelf set (Don't forget about this option or you will get standard white!).  The cabinets are the Wyoming cherry square bordeaux.

For both Owners and Guest Bathroom we are still with the standard white marble countertop.

On another note- the daily NVR emails for various documents has begun! I'm glad others mentioned this or I would think that they were being pesky.  Okay so I still think they are being pesky but it was good knowing this beforehand!

  1. Nice selections!

Wow, how is it that I am just now hearing about tile shelves for the tile bathroom upgrade? I had no idea we'd be getting a horrible white soap dish on our tile (we picked the same tile!) until yesterday... and this is the first time I have seen the shelves. I definitely need to have a chat with our PM! I wonder why the rep at CTI never mentioned the shelves. I hope it's not too late to swap out the white soap dish for shelves! =(

  2. Well I have to give my hubby credit for this one. We were wrapping things up and he points to a display if the shelves in the corner of the showroom. The rep was like "oh yeah, you can get those but they're extra...do you want to add them-if you don't it will be the standard white." Ummm yeah- add them in! It was worth the $130 for the set. But more importantly why would those shelves just not be included as part of the upgraded bathroom?

Good luck with yours! I think it will definitely make a huge difference in the overall look of the bathroom.

  5. Hi Abby, Your selections are great! It sounds like you had a great time at your appointment. We picked the same ceramic surround tile and listello for our master bathroom. Do you have any idea when you will have your pre construction meeting? We are waiting on you to start your build. :-)

On another note: I have a picture of the standard towel bar and soap dish on the ceramic. It looks hideous--no offense to anyone who has gotten them already. I had to submit on our selection sheet not to add them to both bathrooms that will have the surround tile. I only included them in the basement bathroom because they will be using the same materials. I will post a picture of it so that people can see for themselves. We will have two shelves installed in both bathrooms.

If you are able to too, keep all your documents on a thumb drive in case they ask you for the same information and keep a folder on your computer to access from your smartphone if you have one to email them immediately when they ask for documentation. Some documentation has to be updated because it can only be two months old.

  6. I haven't seen the pic yet but just the samples in the store were enough to do the add on. I can believe that they wouldn't just include it with the upgraded bathroom! I am SO glad that Paul saw those and asked about them when he did!

  7. Oh yes girls, I am so glad I pointed out the soap dish, glad I could contribute, I am learning late in this process to ask for everything, and I have gotten far, had I known alot of this stuff before our 30 days lock out I would have gotten more.....I called Rusmur flooring myself and go that straightened out, it seems RH is to busy some times I get more done going right to the source, I am trying to work with the shower glass people now...no headway yet, people are sooo slow to call you back in this industry....I am trying to get a frameless/seamless shower.....

As far as NVR I too got it early in my head they will keep asking even after your approved and ask for things you have already given, so instead of getting upset I got highly organized and they have asked for things twice, I just re fax it, no point in agruing they have it, cause it probably got lost and you will have to send anyway and they will say they never got it....best to just accept it, keep organized and keep sending what they want...Oh, the nature of the beast....LOL...

I have been off for two days and no progress on my home, so I have been blogging alot cuz Im frustrated cuz we broke ground a week ago and they are still JUST digging...so I find other things to made RH mad I guess, like seamless showers....LOL....and my PM doesnt call me ......ever!! So I have to guess a lot about progress...

  8. Sunny was very nice, but she didn't mention the shelves! I think I'll call her and ask that they just not install the one(s) for the master bath...we don't really need a soap dish anyways, all our stuff comes in bottles that will sit quite neatly on our shower seat. :)
